The first thing you need to do...
You need to watch the digital story called "CGCA Library Tour."
This digital story was created using Photo Story 3. It contains over 32 original photographs and is narrated throughout.
There is also some music added to a few frames.
This digital story took several days to make and get just right. Photos had to be carefully decided upon and then put in the perfect order for the story. Photos had to be shot and then re-shot to get just the right angle. Narrations had to be done over and over to get the words just right. Recording your own narration is not as easy as it might seem! Narration had to be typed and practiced.
The title page and the credits page were created using PowerPoint and then saving the slides as JPEG files so that they could be downloaded into Photo Story.
You do not need to know how to do all this in order to join in on this first project.
What you do need is a desire to learn how to do it and the perseverance that it will take to get it done. It isn't fun every single minute - but the final product done well makes all the hard work very worthwhile.
You will also need to figure out what your digital story will be about. In fact, that is going to be the main determining factor on whether or not you will be offered the opportunity to create a digital story to be featured on this website. It has to be educational, useful, and doable,
So, right now go and watch the CGCA Library Tour digital story and start thinking about your own ideas.
